7th edition of Interiors and Buildex scheduled in March 2010
After the highly successful edition of the event early this year, preparations are now underway for the next edition of Interiors and Buildex, which will be held on March 15-17, 2010 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
Organised by Omanexpo LLC, Interiors & Buildex 2010 will once again showcase the widest range of building materials, construction equipment, interior furnishings and many other products for all types of construction and interior design projects in the sultanate.
The three-day event set a number of records this year with the participation of more than 185 countries from over 20 countries, thus reaffirming its reputation as the biggest event for the building and construction industry in Oman.
C.J. Paul, General Manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading organiser of trade shows in the sultanate, said:
‘Now on its seventh edition, Interiors & Buildex has firmly established itself as the premier event for companies serving the sultanate’s vibrant building and construction industry. It is the only show that can attract the largest number of exhibitors and the highest number of industry professionals.’
In fact, in recognition of the prestige of the event, Interiors & Buildex has recently been certified as a ‘UFI-approved event’ by the Paris-based UFI-The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. As explained by association, ‘an exhibition identified as a ‘UFI-approved event’ is a proof of high quality, thus providing exhibitors and visitors alike with the assurance of making a sound business investment.’ Interiors & Buildex successfully achieved certification after UFI had audited the show’s exhibition statistics, including its total net exhibition space, the number of local and international exhibitors as well as the number of visitors.
Paul pointed out that as before, Interiors & Buildex 2010 is once again expected to attract a veritable who’s who of Oman’s building and construction sector, with the participation of all leading companies in the industry. The strong presence of major companies will ensure that the exhibition will truly provide industry professionals with all their requirements – from cement and concrete products, air conditioning equipment, doors and windows, and marble products to heavy equipment, bathroom fittings, paint products, lighting fixtures and electrical products.
In addition to the large number of local exhibitors, Interiors & Buildex 2010 will also feature many international companies, with big pavilions once again expected from countries like Turkey, Italy and the UAE and with the participation of a growing number of exhibitors from Germany, India, Thailand, China and many other countries. According to Paul, the strong interest of foreign companies in the Oman market clearly indicates the emergence of the sultanate as a growing market for all types of products for the building and construction industry.
Interiors & Buildex 2010 is officially supported by the Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI). For the third straight year, the event is also supported by Windows 2000 as the platinum sponsor. Windows 2000 is an Omani company in the business of the manufacturing and installation of high-quality uPVC windows and doors.
